Welcome to the home of the Back-to-Back State and National Champion Boston Showstoppers

The Boston Showstoppers Program was founded in the summer of 2007, with nine young hard working girls playing in the Boston Neighborhood Basketball League (BNBL) coached by Clinton "Coach Bronco" Lassiter. After finishing the season as the undefeated champions for the U13 division, these young girls wanted more. Clinton began looking into more ways to keep the girls active. It was then that he decided to start the girls student-athlete program. Since its founding, the programs size and diversity has grown exponentially and expanded from the original nine to include 5th grade yellow and Blue Teams, 6th grade Yellow and Blue Teams, and 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grade teams that are made up of girls from Boston and the surrounding areas.

The Showstoppers have desire, energy and spirit. What the Showstoppers do not have are the financial resources to achieve
    their full potential. As the City of Boston provides limited recreational programs for young women, the Showstoppers must
    reach out to the community to raise funds for uniforms, travel and other fundamental and educational expenses to help fund this Non-Profit Program.

    We ask you to invest in the future of these exceptional young ladies. Your support will help us create positive experiences
    that will influence their development – on the court and in the classroom.
